Greenery Press Needs Your Help
I'm writing to you because you're a personal friend of mine, or a friend or
supporter of Greenery Press.
As some of you may have heard by now, Greenery has been experiencing some
tough times. Our old distributor, LPC Group, filed for bankruptcy in Spring
of '02, leaving us with a large debt and little likelihood of collecting it.
Paired with a generally slow economy, we've had some trouble keeping the
books you love best in print... so if you've been having trouble finding your
favorites, that's why.
We've taken action to get ourselves back on our feet: cutting back on staff,
moving to more economical space, and reducing our new-book plans for a year
or so. But it's taking a while for these changes to have an effect, and in
the meantime we're struggling to survive.
Our new distributor, SCB Distributors, has stepped to the plate by offering
to help finance reprints on our three best-selling books. (Yay SCB!!) In the
meantime, though, there's not much cash coming in... and you can help us a
lot right now.
We're offering special deals on prepaid orders to our readers and resellers.
