Tomorrow I'm flying to Dallas to see my step-mother, because hey! if I don't, I'll feel like an ass when she dies next week.

Holly says "Wait! You go see her, she hangs on for another seven years!"

Yet another good reason, I say.

I aimed for some gallows humor, but I'm just not feeling it. I'll be back in a few days. No promises I'll talk to anyone. I'm not being mean, I'm giving fair warning.
