My sister's so cool.

Hi Sarah,

My life right now? Very complicated (not): sleeping, eating, and working when Dad forces me to. My schedule is actually quite similar to Ginger's [the cat], except she doesn't have to make up Algebra tests. I go back to school on Monday—ugh. I stay on track until June 21, which is the VERY LAST DAY of the the eighth grade! Next is high school —ooh, goody.

Important dates in the next 4 months: we have a couple concerts with the AVC orchestra, Dad can clear those up with you. Helen and I are both taking a break from karate, she joined a basketball team and I'm going to start swimming with Oasis next week (if I even remember how to swim.) So you know how that is. I'll be having track meets every Wednesday—the league finals or whatever they are called are held in early May. As for what I want for my birthday—whatever's fine. I have been telling everybody to get me pretty stuff to decorate my room (stuff to put on my dresser, etc.) oh yeah, and posters of Heath Ledger!

I am currently searching for an Algebra test that I, ahem, misplaced; and I am working on getting abs before the class trip to Hurricane Harbor at the end of the year. I'm doing 500 crunches every day…yeah right. Actually, I try to do 300. So Dad and I go to the gym every other day (I have to force him to go on the Treadmill); Helen is furious that she has to wait 3 whole months before she is old enough to go. And I plan to talk to someone there about playing something other than soap operas on the screens above the Treadmills. (Why are they called soap operas, anyway? Nobody sings, and it has very little to do with soap. I think they should be called "pointless shows with little or no plot that are only exciting if you spend 8 hours a day in a hospital waiting room watching actors who are desperate to make some extra cash".)

Tootle-pip, wot wot?

Luv always, Diana

Although it is somewhat disturbing that all her guy friends have the hair I had two years ago.

Hrm. I think that's more a comment on me than them.

you can tell her that they're called "soap operas" because back in the early days of radio and TV, they were mostly sponsored by soap companies like Ivory and Proctor and Gamble. :)

..then you can be ms. smarty pants big sister.
