suspectclass | (no subject)

After more course catalog perusal, I have decided that I need to take rock climbing in the fall, and SCUBA diving in the spring. I also have concluded that sociology, a major I pretty much pulled out of my ass because it sounds better than "uh....", is actually a really really good idea for me. And they have a really cool page (not that that had anything to do with my decision, I swear). I also think that if I'm going to do sociology, I need to (and can) kick ass, take names, and win an award. Who is this ambitious woman, and what did she do with Sarah? Part of me wants to pick a kickass minor to match it, and I really really think it's a good idea for me to take The History of Rock and Roll and Metal and Punk. Maybe I'll just plan out the next three years of my life...

I also found this site, but it doesn't seem able to help me find a job. le sigh.

scuba diving is a really cool class -- i signed up for it and made it through the first two classes.
sort of a warning: you have to drop a lot of money for it.
you're required to buy boots, a mask, fins, and in order to get certified, you have to go on the class trip either to florida or to boston, as well as commit to going to the UMASS pool once a week.
maybe things have changed -- you may want to call the instructor and ask. i just wasn't prepared for it.

i feel that this should be the main reason you major in sociology.
