My stepfather is out buying a new car today.

I love this car, enough that I am determined to spend as much time as possible this summer learning to drive, and possibly coming back for a few days in september to get my license. What, you ask, could possibly have Sarah this motivated? What indeed.

It's a miata.

Before I met her I used to kiddingly call it my "babe magnet." I once asked my 4 year old niece if she wanted to ride in the babe magnet. She looked at me incredulously and said, "you don't have a big mac!"

Yep, I've liked them since the first year they came out (which was the year I graduated from law school and probably when you were a teen).

I hope your step-dad buys a stick as they are especially fun to drive as manuals, particularly now that they are all 6-speed. Plus, it's kind of a sin to have an automatic Miata.

I know. I don't not have my liscence cuz i never learned, it's because I wouldn't do the driving time with my parents. Stupid illinois law for under 18 drivers.
