La la la la love you

My mom is here til tomorrow afternoon. Tonight she and the engineer and I are having dinner. I'm excited for them to meet -- how could they not like each other? Mom's staying in my room tonight and I'll be in the annex. This means changing sheets (check) washing pillow cases and doing a final sweep through the room before she goes to bed. Originally she was going to leave Sunday evening, but instead she's flying out tomorrow afternoon. It's a really short visit, but I think it works better for both of us. She didn't bring any work and I have to do a make-up lab Sunday, study for an exam, and catch up on reading. Yeah baby, yeah!

Things in la-la-love land are great. We're both busy and stressed, but there is bliss and it's lovely. I'm just saying no to thinking about the future, and it's fabulous. Not in a hiding from reality way, but realizing that I don't know what will happen in the next several months, especially after May, and I can't know. Plus it's too early on to worry about it. We're happy, she's lovely and I'm really lucky. Let's just leave it at that for now, ok?

Plus, we're going to see the Pixies Dec. 3rd. Mmm-hmm.
