So in case you haven't heard, the Washington State Supreme Court says DOMA is constitutional. Awesome! They're totally on point here. If you can't have kids, what good are you to society? But I think we need to take this further, since it's in the interest of the continuance of the human race (didn't you hear? We're about to die out!) If we're going to say that the reason i can't marry a woman is because we can't have kids, then i think we need to start requiring fertility testing and sworn affadavits declaring intent to bear children before people may be granted marriage licenses. Or make weddings preliminary, with full rights and privileges not granted until the birth of the first child, complete with testing to ensure that the child is the progeny of both spouses. If a couple doesn't have kids, bar one spouse from visiting the other in the hospital unless the parents consent. Same for inheritance and social security. Hell, annul all marriages that don't result in children in a specific time frame, because lord knows there's no other earthly reason that anyone could possibly want to get married.

Strip infertile women of all legal rights. Jail men who spill seed that could go towards making a fetus. I'm sorry, child. Ban divorce, and don't allow the remarriage of women past menopause. Their adult children should be taking care of them anyway.

If that's the case, they should allow non-hysto'ed transmen to wed cisgendered gay men. Everybody wins!

if the birth certificate still says female, they probably would. but yes, you're right. so long as the uterus-bearer would use the parts god gave him!
