I never should have offered the group the option of using our house.
I still feel really terrible about it.

And I didn't know that Sid was going to be gone until it was too late. I almost wish he hadn't been gone. I know I would have gotten into trouble, but I feel like the entire situation would have been better under control.
I ended up being the chaperone who stayed with them all night, even though it was another girl's job - I offered to do it because she had "stuff to do," and I am too nice. Spending all that time with them was hell enough. They are NOT being invited back next year if I have ANYTHING to say about it...
I hope people aren't still mad about this. We can talk about the situation more, if you like...
