I've spent so much time here this week that I was upset when I came in and someone was at my computer. We went to see Lord of the Rings last night, which was totally worth all the frustration and anxiety involved in my getting there, but now I don't feel like it's finals week anymore, just like a very long weekend.

To do:

Finish Stats Project
Call Holly at quarter to 1
Edit stats project
Turn in project by 5
Work exams tonight and tomorrow
Christmas presents downtown
New coat at mall
Pick up blue form from chapel
Pack
Fly
Breathe

I'm really really tempted to just say "Fuck it," make my paper presentable (no spelling errors, no charts without borders, a semblance of a conclusion) and then go shopping for my sisters. Part of me, though, thinks that because this was my only final, I should make it good. Then again, if I promise myself passable is okay, I'll feel motivated sooner, and be a bit less stressed over it. ::Sigh:: I just want to be done with this class forever, and it would be really really satisfying if I got a good grade, too. When I am a professor, my final projects will not be worth 25% of the grade, especially when the assignment is vague and the structure completely unlike anything we've done in class so far. ::Shakes fist in ire::
Oh, and can anyone translate this for me? It's from an email from my sister Helen, who's 12, concerning what she wants for Christmas. She's a little rock-star, the kind of girl who buys silver pants and pleather vests. Super cute, and very energetic. Given that, any ideas on what the hell she's talking about?

"I really really want a red hat that is kinda small, not a red beanie. I would also like cool jewelry, I guess."

For "cool jewelry," I'm thinking Claire's. It's really really hard to go wrong that way. For the red hat, though, I haven't a clue. I'm thinking most things at Faces (funky little northampton store) would work. Anyone here speak 12-year-old girl?

If I knew how to make that any larger, I would.
