I went to Tae Tze (sp) today at 10, and I'm very glad I did. Her Majesty (the dean of religious life) gave me a hug and said she was glad I came, which was wonderful. After spending a day snarking about my soc group and other frustrating topics, it was wonderful to be reminded that I have much for which to be grateful, and the ability to ground myself in more than one thing. I was reminded that I have a community and I have an active spiritual life and I need to learn to use those things to get myself centered when I'm feeling lost at sea. I talked with my soc professor and super advisor, and felt very competent and mature. I'm going to be super advisor's TA next semester, and I may have just found another TA position for the next year. ::knock on wood::
I talked to Her Majesty this afternoon as well (we have weekly meetings, it's great!) and she gave me some ideas for conflict resolution that I really appreciated. She also gave me some much-needed perspective and reassurance. She never minimizes my feelings, which I really appreciate. She's also patient with my bad jokes and likes my biker jacket. It's too bad more priests aren't like that (though the ones I know here tend to be)! I haven't gotten much done, but I'm going to do some studying for my russian quiz and go to bed. I got lots of sleep last night, so I should be okay. Tomorrow is a date with Holly for chinese and a french lesbian movie. I like dating.

[note: I'm listening to "Oliver's Army" and [livejournal.com profile] lizerk's anxious mouse is moving in time to the music.]
