(no subject)

So today is five months of the engineer and I. Me and the engineer? I don't know. Either way, I've been waking up with her on the brain, if not lying next to me, since the end of April and it's wonderful. Tonight we have plans to watch a movie together -- yes it's for my class, but a movie date is a movie date.

I ran into Cool-Mo today in front of Neilson and found out she was having trouble with German grammar. I offered my services and now feel useful and smart! I may get cookies out of it as well. Which reminds me! una_sorella, if you still want to chat auf Deutsch I'm totally up for it! We should make a dinner or lunch date.

Today my afternoon class is cancelled so I have all day to run around and take care of my Administrative Duties. Isn't it amazing how much more appealling extra work is when it makes you feel important and powerful? Perhaps I'm just a megalomaniac.

My first van shift is tomorrow. I had the training Monday with K, and though I did manage to do silly things because I always do when I feel my driving is being judged (as it was), it went fine and I'm confident I won't kill anyone. If only all vehicles beeped when you put the car in reverse! The first five minutes I'm in a new car I always get confused and have to sit and remember things like where the lights are, which way is left, that sort of thing.

It's cold and gross, but I'm wearing my new hat that I knitted, so it's fine. I need to find a digital camera I can use, or someone to let me hook mine up to their computer, and I can update my user pics with something a little more recent. Perhaps one with the new hat if you're lucky.
