Tomorrow morning Diana and I are going to 8 o'clock mass. We were going to go to the 8.30 mass at a closer church, but dad alerted me at the last minute that the later mass likely involved a guitar. No hippy mass on Christmas!

Our annual White Christmas viewing was heralded in with the usual fanfare of whining and attempts at substitutions by dad and Helen, and hard-line traditionalism by Diana and I. And of course we all got up and wandered around at some point, to make popcorn, or hot chocolate or get a beer. Dad spent the last hour of the movie looking up the various leads and telling us about their years and causes of death. For instance, though she had a nervous breakdown in 68 and was in the hotel outside of which Bobby Kennedy was shot, Rosemary Clooney lived until 2002, when she died of lung cancer. Amazing! Also, she had five children between the years of 1955 and 1960.

Um. Someone take me away from the internet.

I'm now the proud owner of an ibook G4 and a pair of Supervogs, grey and blue.

Flipping sweet.

Also, Helen got a copy of Napoleon Dynamite from dad, so I will no longer be the only person in the free world who has not seen it.

Additionally, I got a new printer/copier/scanner. Weeeerd.

Church was pretty good, but don't get me started on the aborted babies.

For those of you celebrating, Merry Christmas. For the rest of you, enjoy the day off if you have one and everyone stay warm!

Dear Engineer,

Please call me if say you're going to.

Love,

Tired of Waiting

So we cooked for four hours and it was amazing. Vegetarian stuffing, mashed sweet potatoes baked iwth cranberries and pecans, mac and cheese, asparagus and baked ham. We made apple and pumpkin pies. It was amazing. Amazing. Did I say it was amazing? Amazing. Now I'm so tired I think I might never get up again.

In other news, napping today meant that once again I didn't see Napoleon Dynamite. Flippin sweet.
