Portland? Amazing.
My presentation went well, a prof asked for a copy of my paper & my email address. Sweet!
Friday night was fun. Saturday night was amazing. Reconnecting with old friends & establishing that some people will always be in my life. I miss my music geeks when I'm out here, and I felt so at ease. I was out of my space & so able to just go with the flow, something pretty hard for me. Last night was the Talking Heads dance party, complete with a video taped concert up on the screen, then Martin Scorcese's film on The Band. It was unbelievable & moving & touched my soul. I miss those kids, I'm so glad and lucky to have them in my life. My cab left at 5, I didn't go to bed. I changed my shirt in the car on the way back to Smith & made friends with my seatmate on the plane. Not in that order.
I was also reminded about how complex attraction, gender & intimacy are. But in a very good way.
