New rule applicable to all in my life (excepting family, about whom I can do nothing). Anyone who is more than 30 minutes late who has not already called to tell me they will be late can expect our plans to be cancelled. You may not call me at 29 minutes after you were supposed to pick me up/meet me and tell me you'll be late. Reasonable notice. Don't call and say you'll be there in five minutes if you know it will take 15. Do not go get something to eat when you should be picking me up. Do NOT get mad at me when I get angry at you for being late. You are not justified. I have been putting up with this crap for far too long. No more. If you can read a clock you can be reasonably on time. I realize some of us are not terribly punctual, myself included. Problems involving acts of god, and/or public transportation will be taken into account.
Note: If you feel that I'm being hypocritical because I've done this to you (somewhat recently), a) consider this my new leaf (which I've been working on for a while) b) email me, I'll apologize.
