Oh the magic flute. Nerd nerd nerd nerd.
My girlfriend gave me flowers. Roses! One of them was broken, sadly, but that is a very little matter. I salvaged the bud (no stem) and left it in a tiny vase in the kitchenette for Sara who has set up a dress-making shop in there. The other nine are sitting on my little Target cube on the pink wrappy thing that Holly wrapped them it. It's not paper, which means it can be decorative. I feel very happy right now. Women mystics has ceased to make me want to poke my eyes out, and instead makes me feel very very happy. Last night I met with the lovely ladies, first a few of us to plan The Charter, and then more to talk about The Book. It was lovely. I suggested a checking in method in which you put in something hard that is troubling you at the beginning, and then at the end take something out which is happy. Almost all of us had a few really really hard things to put in, but then it was so good (at least for me) just to get those things out. I talked about thinking about leaving the Catholic Church, that I maybe want to be in a structure more open to my desire for change. I met with Dean Walters the other day on this topic, and will be meeting with her again after break.
My room is so good right now, I don't want to leave to meet with my soc group, but there it is.
Britta, I am starting to journal like you. I think this is a sign that I have been reading about your life and not seeing you. When you get back I shall take you out for your birthday drink. Yes. I miss you!
I love the Magic Flute. <3 <3 <3 <3
My nails are still painted from the drag ball, and I really really like them. Hmmm...
Things I will do over break:
Get a haircut!
Dye my hair?
Clean my room!
Maybe redecorate?
Read:
Simone Weil
Theresa of Avila
Dorothy Day
Research Methods
Jimi Hendrix's biography
Music readings
A Theory of Cognitive Dissonance
A little bit of Durkeim, a little bit of Weber (A little bit of you makes me your man)
Latin American Theology
The War on Poverty?
I Will also:
Draft a charter and email it to concerned parties
Edit my questionnaire
Take back some library books
DO LAUNDRY!
Investigate alternate drapery options so my new ROSE BUSH can get sun without Cutter House seeing my boobies.
Play with Britta!
Play my poor neglected guitar
Vacation what?
