That, my friends, is the Newby Bridge. I kid you not.
There's also a Newby Hall (student housing, previously a chem building) at a college in Oregon, and a Newby Hall in Nr. Rippon, Yorkshire. I'm hoping the second one is big and pretty and belongs to distant relatives who will leave me everything.
That, apparently, is our coat of arms.
