I would really like to leave New England at some point. I seem, however, to be destined to stay forever, if they have anything to say about it. My top results? Providence, RI; Boston, MA; New Haven, CT; Hartford, CT [what?]; Baltimore, MD; and Worchester, MA. Baltimore being, of course, the one exception. The next five are more appealing: Portland, OR; Milwaukee, WI; Chicago, IL; Washington, DC; Baton Rouge, LA; Little Rock, AR.
Honolulu is number 14, Cambridge is 15.
Today is the day I drive for hours (in the snow) so that I can get my lisence tomorrow. It will happen. The trip to Omaha has been canned, but that will happen at a later date.
I'm feeling better about things today, despite waking up from a ridiculously distressing dream. Oftentimes your dreams clue you in to things you didn't realize you were worried about. Other times they exactly mirror your daytime anxieties. I'm not sure which is worse, but either way, I had no interest in going back to sleep after the one I had this morning. Still, having my anxieties reflected back to me in my sleep somehow brought me a bit of peace, though perhaps only briefly. If I'm stressed about something enough to dream about it, clearly it matters. Therefore, I just have to make sure my goals match my priorities. Done and done.
