Sooo...I got paid in advance for house-sitting, it is now sitting happily in my savings account. No more spending money this week! I have gone through so many phone cards. Thank whatever diety of long distance thingys for the phonathon and really good phonecards.
I got my transcript from the U of C-because there's a hold on my account I couldn't get my grades sent to me, but I got to go look at the computer screen at the office, and can have them sent to whatever institution of higher learning I decide to grace with my presence. The lovely woman who calls me dear and sweetie (I heart nice women) showed me her screen, and I got an A!!!!!!!! in my psych course this summer!!! ::Squeals and shrieks and tries to do a cartwheel but lands on ass giggling:: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND from the three classes I've taken at the University in my time in Hyde Park, my total G.P.A. from the University of Chicago is....3.67 God love it.
[One of the women being interviewed for a study here had to bring her 18-month old baby with her to the lab. My co-workers are trying (without success) to convince the child that they are not scary. I'm scared. :-)]
So I am now one step closer to being back at Smith next year. Huzzah! I got to pat myself on the back yesterday in shrinkage.
"I think I'm cool. Instead of allowing myself to sit and pout, I've worked hard (albeit with some stumbling), and the things that are important to me are things I've worked hard for. School, work, stability and a relationship with someone I thought I'd lost. I rock."
Yeah, I wore my superman t-shirt yesterday. I should wear it more often. I should also start going to bed earlier so that I can not be crabby on the phone ;-)
