I went to the mall on Wednesday and met a beautiful pair of shoes. I was strong and walked away, then wished I had them every morning when I got dressed for the rest of the week. So Sunday when I went to get
bearsir's birthday present
I'm so happy that I've been wearing them every day since, even though it rained all day today. I don't care, their red stitching and red roll-down tops are like sunshine on my feet. Soggy sunshine, but sunshine all the same.
This past weekend was the weekend of birthday parties. Friday we threw Lares the best birthday party ever. The engineer and I got her a Disney princess pinata at Target and filled it with candy, toys from Dollar Tree, plastic boobs and porn. It was truly inspired, and the look on her face was more than worth all the time & money it took getting it together.
I had this huge long post that I wrote yesterday, but the computer at Neilson ate it and now I really don't have the energy (or memory) to replicate it. Things are good. I'm exhausted. I can't believe how busy I am. It's not even the volume of work, really, as much as it is the fact that I'm always scheduled for something, my computer is on the fritz so everything takes longer than it should, and I'm constantly running around trying to get things done. Hopefully it will either calm down or I'll get into some sort of pattern so that I can manage. Tonight I have a minor reprive in that I don't have Russian history tomorrow, and I have no reading due for Thursday, but I do have a lab to work on and several things for house council to take care of. Where was the reprive? I don't know, but the engineer and I have plans to watch movies tonight and tomorrow, so that's at least a couple hours each night that I get with her while we're still conscious. Sweet.
