Tomorrow is Boston for the first time since July! We're going to the Gravy Train!!!/Le Tigre show, and hopefully I'll be able to see Kathrot beforehand. It's also Game One of the World Series. What the hell are we thinking?

In other news, here's what I have to do for this week (ie, this weekend):
  • Read over 300 pages of Russian history for a midterm Wednesday
  • Write a substantial abstract for last semester's seminar paper, as if it were the paper I *wanted* to write. This is for a Soc. conference in Portland, OR in which I'm hoping to be placed in a session. The actual paper has to be done by March 3.
  • Read about 100 pages for my seminar on John Newman
  • Find a paper topic on Thomas Merton
  • Order several dozen magazines for my house (this should have been done ages ago, my computer issues have slowed me up)
  • Call CompUSA about the fact that my computer is now a very expensive paper weight.
  • Email Financial Services to get an appointment for this week.
  • Tutor in German on Sunday after brunch.

Yes, tutor. I actually have several tutees in German, which is great since it pays 50 cents more per hour than driving the shuttle or washing dishes. It's also really hard, and on Tuesday I met with four tutees and nearly fried my brain. Never again, I swear! All the same, it will be lovely when that paycheck comes and has more than $20 in it.

The time has now come for haircuts and playing with mice. Or it would if there were mice to play with, which of course there are not.
