This is my 1600th post. I knew there was a reason I hadn't posted in a week -- so much pressure to perform!
Really, I wish livejournal tracked how many posts were completely frivilous memes or online quizzes. I'd probably have 800 actual posts. 400 would be coherent, 200 would have actual conclusions, rather than simply ending with "bed time" or "nrhg."
Connie came to visit. It was pretty much amazing. Sadly, there's no photographic evidence, so she may still be able to run for public office. I doubt it though, there were many witnesses.
Today I wore a power suit. I went to a Smith Alumnae Networking Hoo-Ha. It was ok, maybe something will actually come of it, maybe not. But at least I got to wear uncomfortable shoes. Then I went back to Hyde Park and the retirement party for my ex-boss, where I saw many people I've known over the years, including a girl from my JV basketball team who looks disturbingly like Holly.
Last night I had a sad conversation, I don't know what to do with it yet. I probably won't tell you when I figure it out. This is the bare-bones outline, I don't even post anything real in here anymore anyway, at least most of the time.
Still no job, but tomorrow is the morning of follow up calls. Speaking of calling, i think my voicemail may be broken. If you've left me a voicemail in the last twenty four hours, let me know because I definitely haven't gotten it.
This weekend is looking exciting: Kings show tomorrow, Dyke March Saturday, Pride Parade Sunday. Monday will be the day of recovery from sunburn and hangover. Flippin sweet.
