Irrational waste-of-time pet peeve #205: Inaccurate online quizzes. Especially "humourous" quizzes in which the questions are clearly slanted in a particular direction (especially when it's not political satire, or clever), or quizzes that in 10 questions attempt to discern sexual identity or religious belief. And yet I still take them.

These are the sorts of things that bug me when my grandmother's in the hospital and I'm freaking out about money and life choices. It's much easier to get upset with the anonymous (and likely 13-year-old) author of a stupid quiz than with the fact that my grandmother is sick. It's just about as productive, though. Don't worry, I'm plenty mad at myself, too. [livejournal.com profile] shipbuilding knows: if bad things happen, they are my fault. Unless they're hers.

i have the same problem with quizzes. it's like i'm deliberately trying to irritate myself by taking them. much the same effect can be had by watching reality tv shows, especially Girls Next Door, if you are looking at expanding your repertoire of things to irritate you unnecessarily.
