So suddenly it's June, and I have three weeks until I fly out to the bay. here are my current thoughts on what I should do, I'm taking suggestions.

  • Hang out with [livejournal.com profile] freakysparks. Of course. and meet the famous Starlet.
  • Meet [livejournal.com profile] twostepsfwd
  • Hang out with [livejournal.com profile] k_rock
  • Hang out with [livejournal.com profile] ultracool
  • Go to Stompers Boots and try on these.
  • Hang out with [livejournal.com profile] limenal if she's around.
  • Go to Rainbow Co-Op.
  • Go to the trans march with [livejournal.com profile] freakysparks.
  • Oh yeah, see my dad get married.

I should have plenty of time to wander and sight/people see during the day, though my budget could be generously described as shoestring. What can't I miss?

Meet [livejournal.com profile] 1muse or [livejournal.com profile] nadyalec, both friends of mine (who don't know one another), for coffee. Ping them and mention my name. They'll have ideas for good queer fun.

Go to Amoeba Music and wish you had more cash.

I am writing to inform you that you are taking me to Stompers with you. Thank you and goodnight.

Yes, because someone may have to knock some sense into me if i try to buy something. Or cheer me on, who knows.

Butch buddy boot bonding. You know it's a good idea if it's alliterative.

When will you actually be around? You're staying at my house on the night of Pride, so you probably won't be in until late I'm imagining - and I'll probably be in the East Bay avoiding all the gay people as much as possible. So I'm not sure if we'll have a chance to hang out in the city or not. But it would be fun if we could make it work

I get in at Oakland around lunchtime on Wed the 21st. I'll have my stuff with me, I'm not sure how to manage that. My dad's wedding is actually saturday, so I guess I'll be at Pride, though I'm not sure I can handle another parade. I'm leaving Tuesday the 27th.

We can talk more about this, what are your thoughts? I'm totally open, except for the two time specific things: the trans march and my dad's wedding. Possibly also a party, i think saturday night? maybe sunday.

um, i forget when it is, but once or twice a month at a bar called el rio, in the mission, there's an event called "mango" which is basiclaly a queer women's tea party. and by tea i mean booze at 3pm and dancing on their outdoor patio. it's loads of fun and people were really friendly when i went.
plus you get your buzz and your groove on while it's warm and daylit, and then by the time it's dark you have some dinner and still get to bed at a reasonable hour, or hit the after parties. whichever you like!

how long will you be there? i'm flying out july 14.

Soooo ... have you been here before? Are there things you always wanted to see? I don't recommend Amoeba if you don't have money to spend, that's just flat-out dangerous! We could sit and knit, I don't know. Are you going to stay with us at some point?

Also, sorry about last weekend, I didn't see your email until I was about to fly back here. Sounds like you were pretty busy anyway!
