I was wondering if anyone could recommend a moving company that they'd had a good experience with. If it matters, we;re moving within Edgewater at the end of February. We don't need a huge truck, but we do need conscientious movers who won't damage our things in the 10 blocks and 5 cumulative flights of stairs.

We'd prefer not to use movers, but only one of us (Roommate) can get the last day of February off of work, and there's a possibility we'll have to move twice if we don't do it this way (once to a storage space, then to the apartment).

Dire warnings to stay away from a certain mover also appreciated

That idea fills me with dread! Plus, there's no way our small apartment would take more than a few hours door to door. I think the worst of it will be the packing and unpacking.

Hopefully we won't have to hire movers at all, or even rent a truck.
